DJ T Gutta was born as Torry Brown on June 24, 1985. His mother was a single parent raising two kids in the Walnut Park/Mark Twain neighborhood of north St. Louis 6th district . Because of the neighborhood that they stayed in his mother tried to keep him off the streets by putting him on a basketball team at a very young age. DJ T Gutta played basketball all the way through high school. He started making mix cds for his family and friends his sophomore year of high school. The reason that he started making mixtapes, was because the people around him liked and wanted the newest music that he was listening to. He started making so many cds that he had started charging people for burning them a copy of the mix cds that he had.
By the end of his junior year he started putting his voice to the mixed cds making intros and outros. Then at the middle of his senior year he started scratching and mixing the different songs together on his mixtapes. A year after graduating from high school he met a local St. Louis artist by the name Young Ghost who wanted to get a song of his put on one of DJ T Gutta's mixtapes. At the time Young Ghost had just joined with Supreme Team Inc. one of St. Louis well known underground music groups, who was also looking for a mixtape Dj to help promote and to get their music out. The artist Young Ghost had told Ruka Puff another local artist and CEO of Supreme Team Inc. about T Gutta.
Shortly after he heard about DJ T Gutta, Ruka Puff invited him to one of their meetings to discuss what he could bring to the camp and how he can get their music out for more people to hear. The same day DJ T Gutta was named the newest member of the STL Supreme Team. They then created Supreme Djs, which consist of DJ T Gutta, E-Duece, DJ Lil Pat and May B Krunk. Now By this time T Gutta had put out enough mixtapes to create a big enough buzz in the streets that he had different artists wanting to be featured on one of Gutta mixtapes but he really got noticed when he and the other Supreme Djs dropped their mixtape series called 100% Grind . After that mixtape he waited about three months to drop another mixtape because he was helping promote Ruka Puff's album I'm A Starr, and he also hosted Rukas Mixtape Called (Da New Lou 2). In mid 2006 He started his New Mixtape Series Called (Lets Do It Den) which is the number one mixtape series in the midwest. Now he has local artist and artists from other cities wanting him to host their mixtapes, and be apart of the movement.
At the start of 2007 T Gutta decided to leave Supreme Team/ Supreme DJ's and start his on DJ Crew Called The Goon Sqad DJ's, To help promote underground artists with no radio play get heard. Now DJ T Gutta is one of the premiere mixtape DJs in The Midwest, and is looking forward to working with more artists. As of right now he is currently the Official DJ for Young Ghost, and Shawty Redd.
