My Bio:
The artist that you hear is Felicia Doolin, but on the streets of Kansas City she is well known as Ms. Fe. Since the tender age of seven, Felicia has been extraordinarily addicted to music. Being raised in a household streaming with all genres of music, from Gospel to Rock, she had no choice but to put her two cents in the music game.
Life has not always been easy for Felicia. Being the youngest of three children, growing up in a single-parent home, and not really being close to her mother, it was sometimes rough and stressful at the same time. Felicia felt like an outcast and the way she dealt with her frustration was she wrote. She wrote poetry, songs, she wrote about anything to ease her mind. After that, she began free styling and singing to herself in her room. She came up with sick hooks and a catchy harmony to go with them. She wrote verses and songs from sun up till sun down. A beast inside her was beginning to form, so she challenged herself and took it even further. She started rapping against kids in the neighborhood, at school, even at clubs and parties.
From first glance, many wouldn't think of her as a rap artist, because of her personality and style. She would always be the quiet one, observing, sitting in the background, but once she opened her mouth and gave you a taste of what she had to offer it was all eyes and ears on her. Numerous individuals would describe her style as grimey and hardcore; not your usual female rapper, which is exactly what the industry has been waiting for. From her working with local artists such Tech N9ne, The Jok3r, Big Dave, Famlee Tree, Mr. Stinky and the Vigilante Squad and more to doing opening acts for major artists such as Nelly, Lil Flip, Adina Howard, YukMouth, plus, nationally pushing thousands of copies of her independent debut album IN A ZONE in 2005-2006. Fe has been featured on numerous mix tapes from Kansas City to Cali, back down to Florida and up to New York and New Jersey. This young artist sure has the credibility of the streets behind her. Fe not only records music, but she also writes about it. She is an Entertainment Writer for Cha-TV ONLINE! (D.C.) and Disclosure Newszine (StL) interviewing hot celebrities and your local neighborhood stars like, Super Producer Chris Styles (NY), Bad Boy Skullz (ATL), SoloKey (Florida), Khia (Florida), BHI (ATL), Killa Klump (CA), Lil Ace (StL), Lil Flip (TX), Lil Scrappy (ATL) and more. She’s also a Sales Rep for Dirty South Rhythmz Magazine (TX). Her talent goes deeper than just being a lyricist. Ms. FeFe is also a businesswoman. She is co-owner of B.F.G. Entertainment and Promotions and Get Guap Girlz Inc. Both based out of Kansas City, MO. Ms. FeFe is a young, black entrepreneur, story teller and an inspiration to all women trying to advance in the male dominated field of hip hop.
With people in her corner like LaiDBacK Productions (KC), Legal Crime Records (GA), GRIMMEY GRILLE ENT. (MD), Chop Shop South Entertainment (TN), GTM Entertainment (KC), 7 Figga Entertainment (KC), Female MC Club and S. Vision ENT. (NY), and numerous other artists and producers, there is no way that this talented young lady wouldn't blow up the spot in 2008 and beyond. At the age of 26 with a beautiful daughter to provide for, that’s all the motivation that she needs to keep going to fulfill her dream. Young, talented, and with a whole lot to say, it is only right to let Ms. FeFe prove her point in this industry; that everything is not always handed to a woman. She has to work just as hard as the next man. Let it be known that the streets are waiting for what is real, so be easy and let the girl get her shine on. Trust me, she goes hard...real life.
