Ganga Records was started in 1999 by Levi "Cityboy" Jackson and Brother Carl "Big-C" Jackson. Ganga Started with a roster of 13 artist and now stands a strong 6. Ganga was one of the first legitimate Rap/G-hop record labels in the city of St.louis, making serious noise. Ganga was the home to many talented local rappers and still stands as having the best artist in the city. Ganga also was the first home for local rap group SLU Crew's Big-Will (106th and park Freestyle Friday hall of famer and Tyrant. Now Ganga is even stronger than ever. In summer of 05' Ganga took it all to the next level by joining business partners with St.louis's best R&b singer/producer and writer Future Mic a.k.a. Capt'n Hook. Now It's no doubt about it, Ganga is the most talented and fastest rising record label in the city working out of Upbiss studios. Ganga is set to release 2 albums very soon from the H.N.I.C.'s Future Mic and Cityboy who says "Future Mic is the Kang of R&B and he is the Kang of G-Hop" and it's kinda hard to argue with that listening to the product. Ganga also has Talented artist such as Apostlez member "Nikel Yo", Long time vet "Steel Bill", "Leroy Jenkins", "Heat", and many more artist in artist development. Quote me on this "Ganga will be, is , and for along time be, the best music in the world!!!!!!!!
SOUNDS LIKE:A truly original sound, that of many. Ganga tends to remind you of a west coast funk created by a country southern band shipped east for certification but got wrapped up in a mid-western swagg.
