Drawing inspiration from the "Old School" R&B/Funk Bands they grew up listening to, the Johnson brothers formed up, recorded a Demo, and took it straight to the streetz. Not only do they transcend all conventional boundaries, they have redefined them. The ability to cross over all ethnic, cultural and musical genre's, coupled with their charismatic style and humorous interaction, gives Jon'Ra instant mass appeal, making them one of the hottest "up & coming" R&B acts around. In fact, Jon'Ra's "Rising Star" status was validated, both in 2006, and 2007, when they were voted "R&B Artist of the Year" at the Southern Independent Music Awards, "UnderGround Oscars".
