This conscious emcee enters this year just short of a decade of experience rhyming. At 24, this fire spitting native of the Midwest is ready to make his arrival complete. In the era of the influence of commercial artistry MilkDrop is a throwback to the forms involved in original hip hop. Many things in life motivate MilkDrop currently including his wife of 2 years. With this major change his lyrical content is now a more defined mix of his passions , and his experience in life as a new husband and father. This ambitious wordsmith already has hit the streets with 6 mix tapes over a 4 year stretch from 2001-2004 selling over 1500 copies locally and via the internet. He also has been included on Slam Jamz figurehead group Regenerated Headpiece's well renowned sophomore effort 'Dogfight'. The future became brighter as MD became the last piece of the puzzle and then newest member of the high rising Soul Providers Crew in 2005. He then recorded 'The Entrance Exam' Ep, a collaborative effort with fellow Soul Provider Reach which helped to create an enormous buzz for Milk. It totaled 400 sales in just a small period of time.
The lastest releases to include MilkDrop was his feature on D. Will's solo effort 'The Oh No' Mix tape Vol. 1. Although 2007 has already brought a flurry of content including MilkDrop. First is a self arranged mix tape entitled 'MilkDrop Presents: Hidden Prescriptions' Mix tape Vol. 1, Milk doesn't stray far away from a winning formula as his running mate D. Will play host to the mix ape. This mix tape includes the finest that the Kansas City area has to offer, and is available now. Also in 2007, MilkDrop has begun recording on a mix tape series entitled 'The Soul of The Movement'. This series will include 3 mix tapes, 2 of which are available online for FREE download. His last effort will be followed by a collaborative effort with fellow Soul Provider affiliate D. Will in his sophomore effort, his first full length 'The Graduation Speech' Lp. Although he does put in his work in the studio, MilkDrop is no rookie to performing live. While logging 14 shows in the latter half of 2005 Milk had just begun to made his mark on the scene. Milk upped the ante a bit by doing 18 shows in 2006, including shows in Kansas City, San Antonio and Las Vegas. The remainder of 2007 will be a plethora of calculated tours throughout the West and Midwestern regions with his crew, The Soul Providers. Look for him and the return of lyricists everywhere.
